AIM is the London Stock Exchange's global market for smaller, growing companies.

Good companies from different sectors and different countries are welcome on AIM. AIM opened in June 1995. Since then over 1250 companies have had their securities admitted to AIM raising approximately £93.3 billion. It has more companies than all of the other European Growth Markets collectively and is the most international of such markets with more than fifty overseas companies.

It is operated, regulated and promoted by the London Stock Exchange and is their international market for smaller, growing companies and is widely seen as one of the most flexible exchanges in Europe. Its rules have been designed to reflect these companies' unique requirements and as a result those seeking an AIM listing do not need a particular track record, minimum size requirement nor do they need to have a designated number of shareholders. It is open to companies from many different sectors and countries across the world.
